Happy New Year! We’re only a few weeks into 2020, but it’s already shaping up to be an epic year here at Four Wheeler Heaven, with more accommodations coming and more trails in the works!
Some of you may have heard about the “Miners Den.” It’s our more spacious, ADA-accessible floor level unit that has been in the works for years. We are finally making good progress on the unit and are anticipating having it open in the Spring of 2020! The unit shares a connecting door with the Coaldale Condo, so larger groups will be able to rent both units or even all three units for 20+ people at a great price!
Also, there has been some big trail news recently. The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reported that the long-rumored Hatfield-McCoy Trails to Spearhead Trails connector trail is in the works, which will allow riders to ride back and forth between these two trail systems in two states! The Spearhead Trails, in Virginia, are about a 3.5 mile ride from Four Wheeler Heaven, and we recommend this system for groups with children, riders who just want a one-day pass, or those who just want to try out some new and challenging trails!
We have also heard unofficially that new Hatfield-McCoy Trails are being planned on the back side of Coaldale Mountain from us (toward Spearhead Trails). These trails would potentially give the Pocahontas trail system a more direct connection to the Warrior trail system. We are keeping an ear out for any more information and will be sure to share it with you as soon as we know more!
Finally, we wanted to let you know that January is our biggest month for bookings, and dates throughout 2020 are booking up fast. We are getting phone calls and online bookings every day, so if you have dates in mind today, they may be gone tomorrow.
